Obscenity Crimes Ignored

Obscenity crimes are not protected under the first amendment. Let’s bust this myth right now. When I read this article from Focus Family News I felt the need to give it even more exposure. This story won’t be on your local television news.

The Department of Justice tells folks to file their complaints about obscene internet material through ObscenityCrimes.org. Over 70,000 complaints have been logged this way.

The DOJ points you to the Morality in Media website, ObscenityCrimes.org, if you want to tell the government about obscene internet porn. Consultants such as Roger Young, a retired FBI special agent, forwards those complaints to the DOJ.

“I have read various complaints from citizens about, ‘please do something about this.’ ‘This keeps coming to me at work.’ ‘My child was exposed at home trying to do a school project. Please do something about this.’”

Bob Peters with Morality in Media says even DOJ officials praise ObscenityCrimes.org.

“The problem is that going on six years that Morality in Media has been operating the ObscenityCrimes.org website project, to our knowledge, after more than 70,000 the justice department has not acted on a single complaint. That is just simply beyond comprehension.”

Tom Rodgers, a former Indianapolis Police Detective, says ignoring complaints and crimes is absolutely unacceptable.

“As a police officer, if I was sworn to uphold the law, and if I wasn’t doing my job, someone above me would get my attention quickly. And I would probably be fired.”

The Department of Justice refused to comment for this story.

Nothing gets my goat than justice not being served. It’s not even being acknowledged. Thanks to the Department of Un-Justice.
