Bible Publishers Sued for Anti-Gay References
July 11, 2008 8:13 am Opinion, freedomIf this isn’t absurd, I don’t know what is.
A Michigan man is suing two Bible publishers because their translations of 1st Corinthians 6:9 “made him an outcast from his family and contributed to physical discomfort and periods of demoralization, chaos and bewilderment.”
I wouldn’t blame that on the translations, silly boy. I would blame it on your own damned behavior. If I murder someone who can I sue for making me feel like a murderer?
If I buy hot coffee and get burned, can I sue? (Wait a minute.) You see what I mean?
Bradley LaShawn Fowler , 39, is seeking $60 million from Zondervan and another $10 million from Thomas Nelson.
According to the “The USA Today,” Fowler is claiming that the revisions referring to homosexuals as sinners is an opinion.
Here’s a news flash for you Bradley Boy. Regardless if it’s their opinion or God’s word; free speech isn’t just for those who are offended. Free speech is for all of us. Buck up and be a man. I’ve been called a dozen names or so in my lifetime. And the Bible calls me a sinner, too. I’m right there with you pal, needing repentance.
It’s frivolous lawsuits like these that tie up the courts and drives up consumer prices for all of us.
U.S. District Judge Julian Abele Cook Jr will oversee the hearing. Let’s just hope he has some decent judgment left in him along with some “not-so-common anymore” common sense.

Oh puhlease!!! If I get offended that the Koran instructs holy war against infidels like me, do you think I could make a quick buck in the court system? Hmmmmm!
