A Reminder: Obama’s “Culture of Death”

2008 Race, Abortion, Obama, Sanctity of Life 1 Comment

As we come into the final stretch of this election process, less than 60 days; the airwaves are becoming littered with mud. The tactics are getting uglier and uglier. Deceit is becoming commonplace and if you’re not enlightened to the facts of these candidates you could be led astray all too easily.

Call this what you will, but I’ll use the term “reminder.” These are some facts that I cannot get out of my head.

Let’s take a moment to remind ourselves just who this Barack Hussein Obama really is.

Obama is the most pro-abortion member of the Senate this country has ever seen. He received a straight A+ from the National Abortion Rights Action League and Planned Parenthood. He also indisputably supports the late-term procedure known as partial-birth abortion, where the baby’s skull is stabbed with scissors in the birth canal and the brains are sucked out to end its life quickly and eases the passage of the corpse into a pan.

The late Sen. Pat Moynihan NY., who Hillary Clinton succeeded, had said that this procedure, “comes as close to infanticide as anything I have seen in our judiciary.”

While the congress was voting to ban this infanticide Michelle Obama was signing fund raising letters pledging that if Obama was elected he would work “tirelessly to keep this legitimate medical procedure legal.”

And when the Supreme Court upheld the ban on this procedure Obama denounced the court for denying equal rights for women.

Three times in the Illinois Senate Obama blocked bills that would protect the life of infants already born who - - by the grace of God - - survived an abortion attempt. Three times!

Really, is the life or health of that woman at stake even though the baby had been born alive? Better yet, is the right to abort or “choose” so important to women’s rights that killing newborns is acceptable?

In 2007 Obama promised and pledged to Planned Parenthood that if elected one of the first acts as Chief Executive would be to sign the Freedom of Choice Act, which would cancel out any federal, state or local restriction on abortion.

The National Organization of Women (the NOW gang) said it would abolish all restrictions on government funded abortions.

Was John Paul II accurate when he called this the “culture of death?”

If we elect Barack Obama can we still sing with a straight face, “America, AmericaGod shed His grace on thee?”

I shudder to think.

“My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world.  I hope you’ll join me as we try to change it.” ~ Barack Hussein Obama
