Communication Crucial to the Election Process

As a resident in Ohio’s 13th District I anticipate every opportunity to hear our Representatives debate and speak to the hearts of those they represent.

Unfortunately, the election process has become somewhat unbalanced when it comes to any “newbies” seeking office. Many favored incumbents simply ignore debate requests and by doing so neglect the very constituents they represent. This suppresses the entire competitive nature of politics.

Dave Potter, for example, is a bright and highly motivated Republican challenger from Strongsville seeking debates with Betty Sutton. Sutton has denied requests for four debates, one located in each county she represents.

Competition is what makes this nation great. And when that component is removed we are left with choices and decisions that are not of our own. These are the roots of communism. I know some might say the word ‘communism’ is extreme, but when you consider it only takes one step to begin a 1000 mile journey, you’ll see that this notion is not farfetched.

Regardless of what side of the political fence I might find myself, removing competitiveness and equal exposure from the election process is only hurting ourselves.

If you haven’t already, I urge you to visit potterforcongress dot com. I have had the opportunity to speak to Dave one on one, and he has that eye of the tiger that so many of our Representatives have lost after sitting in a House seat for too long.
