Colin Powell expresses FEAR on Meet The Press

10:44 am 2008 Race

As we all might have expected, Colin Powell endorses Obama on Meet The Press.  His reasoning is befuddling.  Powell expressed that he was remorseful for disappointing McCain, but was fearful that the Republican party is moving too far to the right.  He also expressed that he was afraid of two more conservative Judicial appointments to the Supreme Court.

When Powell spoke of Obama he could only say that Obama speaks well; he speaks confidently.  Powell used the work “speaks” repeatedly, which vividly depicts that Obama is all talk.  Powell was confident that Obama is The One who could repair the reputation of the United States.  Are you kidding?  Has our world reputation filtered out common sense?!

Powell failed to mention anything about the anti-American, liberation theologians who helped Obama morph into what he has become.

He also diminished the relationship with Bill Ayers and dismissed Obama’s once Muslim status as a rumor which didn’t matter even if it were true.

I, for one, am absolutely disgusted by this once great warrior subscribing to this “Spread the wealth around” proposal by the Obama cronies.  This spreading of the wealth will not only extend to the middle class but to the rest of the world.  This will wipe out our economy, our power and strength, and our national security.

Bernie Sanders brags about being a socialist and if you compare Obama’s views with Sander’s, well, they’re almost identical.

We’ll see a lot of attention from this endorsement over the next few days but just understand…look at the substance behind it and you’ll see it really won’t make any difference.  He’s just another bobblehead.

BTW, Gadhafi just endorsed Obama, too.

    ‘Nough said.

Well said Dan. This is just an insult. And to think about the people that were suggesting Powell for McCain’s VP….

    Eish.

So we nominate the maverick moderate and we are moving too far to the right? Powell served the most right President ever, Reagan, who was one of the best ever.

    go figure

    Great point!

Dan: I read this and give you a standing ovation. I was a big admirer of Powell when he teamed up with Cheney to orchestrate Desert Storm. I thought, “These guys are IRON CLAD!” I still admire Cheney very much, however, in the years after Desert Storm, I have become largely unimpressed with Powell. He has become more liberal, which amazes me for a military man with his credentials. It is plain to see why McCain did choose him as a running mate. There are Republicans that criticize McCain for some of the positions he has taken (me included), but Powell is a ‘Benedict Arnold’. His talking points on Obama are as weak as the candidate himself.

My opinion - when you are out of public office, as this man is, you need to sit down when it comes to “endorsements”.

    Keep it up brother! :-)

…one more thing. With a charade like Powell is pulling, his first name should be “Colon” as it seems that his where his brains have gone.
